I am a registered Counsellor at the Council for Counsellors in South Africa. Counselling is a gift and an investment to yourself. Our lives are not perfect and no one’s life is. Though if we choose not to take action then our suffering becomes more intense and life's demands becomes challenging. If we are willing to go on an adventure of self-discovery then we start to discover the deep satisfaction which change brings. The more we change, the more flow we create in our lives. Therefore counselling is about bringing change to your current situations, circumstances, beliefs, etc. I make use of tools and techniques which I have learned through the years of my own healing journey. Counselling is a safe and a sacred space to discover the depths of your own power but it is also a safe space to discover the depths of your pain as well. There is no right and wrong in this space because what is right for me is maybe wrong for you. So I am not here to choose your healing path for you, I am here to walk your healing path with you as your path is unique to you. I will guide you to walk on your path fearlessly and bravely. We all try to run away from our traumas through forgetting, denying, blaming, and many more escape routs. Your trauma will keep finding you when you least expect it to arise. You cannot hate the trauma or the person or the event which created the trauma, as hate brings resentment, regret and blame. The only way to heal trauma is to work through it, then your trauma will become your wisdom, your understanding and your compassion. You will only understand the gift of trauma once you have worked through it.
Trauma recovery deals with reviving trauma to enable survivors to integrate the trauma into their lives. In order to achieve healing, they have to reject their notions that they are dysfunctional and different. Healing is said to begin when these persons start to reconnect with their strengths, identify defenses that previously kept them “locked into” the trauma and find ways to dismantling these defenses.
Trauma counselling is largely a process whereby traumatized people are enabled to work through their tribulation memories to the point where they feel better. While they might never be able to forget their most painful experiences, they may reach a point where they are able to have these recollections without feeling overwhelmed or seriously disturbed. Family Constellations are a way of discovering underlying family bonds and forces that have been carried unconsciously over several generations – (Bertold Ulsamer).
A family Constellation is a three-dimensional group process that has the power to shift generations of suffering and unhappiness. Bert Hellinger, the founder of this work, who studied and treated families for more than 50 years, observed that many of us unconsciously “take on” destructive familial patterns of anxiety, depression, anger, guilt, aloneness, alcoholism and even illness as a way of “belonging” in our families. Bonded by a deep love, a child will often sacrifice his own best interests in a vain attempt to ease the suffering of a parent or other family member.

What we do not heal we take with us through our journey of life. As a therapist, I noticed how childhood traumas define people’s identity and their relationship with others. A part of us desires to resist the wound, but a different part realizes the importance of healing. If you are ready to take your power back and to step into your true self, you need to remove the layers and the filters which are preventing you. These traumas create blocks in our consciousness and it prevents us from moving forward with joy, bliss and authenticity.
Childhood trauma is a process, hence you will need to commit to all sessions every second week.

My name is Quinton Mundell and my approach to life is holistic. Through my own personal experience I realized, one aspect of our life's impacts has an influence on the rest of the other aspects.
We tend to focus on one aspect as success or health and we tend to forget the other aspects of our lives. If we only focus on money we tend to neglect our own health and relationships. To live a life of happiness, love, health, success and peace we need to hold firmly to all the aspects of who we are. The key to healing and the key to success is to know yourself. I do believe that God only made A grade people, therefore every human being that enters into my space is an A grade person and I don’t accept or expect anything less of them. Your past is your past, but what happened in your past created your agreements with life itself. Therefore we don’t judge your past and we accept your present and we create your future, as your future is in your hands waiting to be created.
